Outdoor Wednesday: A Summer Walk

 

One of my favorite things is taking walks and enjoying the beautiful scenery around me. I took these pictures yesterday while doing just that!

 

This butterfly kept fluttering its wings, so I had to wait a few seconds until his wings were opened--

 

This boat is always drifting out in the lake. We call it the "ghost boat."

 

I think we've been watching too many mystery movies--lol!

 

I came across this thing. It's much smaller than it looks in the picture--the head and body together was only about 2 or 3 inches long, not including its yucky rat-like tail. We think it's a small snapping turtle, but we're not sure. What do you think?
